While my resume says that I have been a professional Graphic Designer for over six years, truth is, I've been involved in the design world for much longer than that. My mom thinks I've always had "a gift" (thanks, mom), but I've always had a thing for art and have worked hard to move up in the design industry.
I accepted my first full-time gig in September, 2002 for a small manufacturing company. I started out revising their flyers and managing marketing materials and ended up developing their advertising campaigns. It was there I obtained the foundational knowledge of what print design entails, from design to completion.
From there, I went on to help launch Motor City Sports Magazine. I was one of four people on the ground level who took the magazine from an unattainable concept to a reality. A year later, in October of 2005, Motor City Sports Magazine launched its inaugural issue.
MCS Magazine sparked a passion in me to help startup companies grow their business through marketing. By creating or enhancing their marketing tactics and materials, I've established a level of quality that has carried them to new levels.
Passion, commitment and drive haves drastically moved me forward in the design industry. Through hard work and, yes, a little bit of luck, I've had the privelege to work with such companies as DHall Ventures, Madison Media Group and Right Image Marketing. My desire to move ahead and learn new things has brought me here, and it will continue to carry me even further.
